MM parquet and carpentry had the pleasure in supplying and fitting this stunning wide plank flooring, and a tumbled parquet flooring with a brass detail In the border. This amazing property had an underfloor heating system which we glued and bonded all our flooring to the pump screed subfloor . As we are the only company in Ireland to be able to glue solid parquet flooring and plank flooring to these heating systems , the way we do it is very unique and is only available directly with our clients. The way this is achieved is to bluetooth the heating system at floor level and if it’s required we can put one monitoring chip in each room so we can achieve a reading temperature even when you have no thermostats fitted .
MM Parquet and Carpentry recently completed this remarkable project Enniscorthy , Co Wexford , which had an extended timeline from start to finish, requiring close collaboration with the client and multiple other contractors. After fitting the wide plank flooring and tumbled parquet flooring with brass border details, it was essential to coordinate with other remedial works that needed to be completed subsequently.
In addition to the flooring, communication and flexibility were key, enabling us to adapt to the evolving requirements of the project and deliver a flawless final result.
After all the installation work for the skirting, architraves, doors, and staircases, we sat down with the client to discuss floor coloring and finishes for the wide plank flooring and parquet flooring. Through a collaborative discussion, the client chose a stunning classic dark oak color tone.
To enhance the beauty and durability of the flooring, we finished it with a luxurious silk matt Bona Wax Oil finish. This choice not only emphasized the rich, classic look of the dark classic oak but also provided a protective, elegant surface that is both visually appealing and long-lasting.
Finishing a dark classic oak complemented by a wax oil finish just transformed the look of this property . MM Parquet and Carpentry installed solid brass inlays measuring 6 mm by 10 mm. This meticulous addition enhances the overall appearance, providing a striking and exclusive detail to the borders of the flooring.
The solid brass inlays not only accentuate the elegance of the dark oak but also offer a unique and luxurious touch that truly sets this project apart. When completed, these brass details stand out beautifully, adding a level of sophistication and exclusivity to the entire space.
