Gluing System Flooring Installation
We have been using gluing systems for over 15 years now and it’s our preferred way of fitting the majority of parquet flooring and plank flooring projects.
When we started using the gluing system one of the main reasons for this was the underfloor heating systems were coming on the market at the time and this is the best way to get the most heat out of your underfloor heating system. Because there is direct contact when you glue flooring to your pump screed or concrete sub-floors and due to the face that timber has the lowest U rating, even when your heating system has stopped pumping heat you still get to feel the warmth under foot for much longer than tiles or carpets.
Another two main advantages of this style of fitting one is to soundproof the floor, because the blocks flooring or plank flooring are glued directly to the subfloor there is very little noise unlike a floated floor. This type of fitting is suited for lots of different places e.g., apartments, pubs, restaurants, domestic and commercial situations.
The next reason and this are the most important reason for this fitting, is when you have a leak or even a flood of water on your premises. We have had many customers over the years who have had very bad leaks, and some have had their houses even flooded, in these situations we recommend waiting to let your flooring dry out and then get an assessment, often the flooring will only need re-sand and polish and will be brand new again. Therefore, the cost outweighs the benefit, as sand flooring is much cheaper than having to replace them. Therefore, MM Parquet & Carpentry ltd always pick the highest standards at fitting all aspects of their flooring.
